FAQ
Updated August 29, 2026
Slipstream is a competitive sports-pick app. Post your picks, tail or fade others, and climb the Rating leaderboard based on how your calls settle. It is a social and performance-tracking app, not a sportsbook. No real money is wagered, held, or paid out in the app.
The basics
What does "Tail" mean?
Tailing means you agree with a capper's pick and want to follow it. When you tail, the pick is recorded in your Streamed Bets and counts toward your track record.
What does "Fade" mean?
Fading means you disagree with a capper's pick and want to track the opposite side. Fading is only available on straight bets, not parlays. Your fades are tracked separately in your performance stats.
What is a Streamed Bet?
A Streamed Bet is your recorded commitment to either tail or fade a pick. It tracks your decision, the odds at the time, and your chosen stake. Streamed Bets are visible on your profile.
How does Rating work?
Your Rating is a skill-based score that reflects how your picks perform over time. It starts at 1,000 and moves up or down as picks settle. A higher Rating means a stronger public record.
What are the rank tiers?
There are 7 base tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Grandmaster, with four Roman-numeral divisions inside each tier through Master. You start in Bronze with provisional status until you have 20 or more settled picks.
What does "Locked" mean on a pick?
A pick becomes locked when its event is about to start, usually within 5 minutes. Once locked, you can no longer tail or fade that pick. The countdown timer shows how much time remains.
What are units?
Units represent your confidence level on a pick, from 0 (track only, no stake) to 10 (maximum conviction). Units are notional scoring points inside Slipstream. They are not money and have no monetary value.
Can I bet real money through the app?
No. Slipstream does not handle real-money bets. All tracking within the app is for performance and community purposes. If you choose to place a bet, you do that with a licensed sportsbook outside of Slipstream. See our Responsible Gaming page.
Content moderation and reporting
Slipstream includes a Report button and a Block option on every user-content surface in the app: picks, comments, and profiles. If you see objectionable content or an abusive user, you can:
- Report it in-app from the menu on the pick, comment, or profile.
- Block the user in-app, which immediately removes their content from your experience.
- Email support@slipstreambet.com with a link to or description of the content.
Every report is reviewed by our team, and we act on confirmed violations, including content removal and account restriction or termination. Reports are triaged promptly, typically within 24 hours. See our Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines for what is and is not allowed.
Account
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings, then Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and associated data. The action can't be undone.
