Privacy Policy

Slipstream ("Slipstream Bet," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Slipstream mobile application and the website at slipstreambet.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

1. What We Are (and Are Not)

Slipstream is a competitive ranking platform for sports betting intelligence. We are not a sportsbook, gambling operator, payment processor, or custodian of user funds. No real-money wagering occurs on our platform.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address, username, and an optional avatar URL. These are stored in our database hosted on Supabase (AWS us-east-1).

Picks and activity

We store the picks you post, tail/fade commitments, follow relationships, and your Capper Rating (CR) history. This data powers the core product: the feed, rankings, and performance tracking.

Device and session data

Your authentication session token is stored on-device using AsyncStorage and is not transmitted to third parties. We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, health data, financial account information, or browsing history.

Crash reporting (optional)

When Sentry is enabled at build time, we collect crash stack traces, device model, OS version, and app version. Personally identifiable information is not sent. sendDefaultPii is set to false. When Sentry is not enabled, no crash data is collected.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

• Location or GPS data
• Contacts or address book
• Photos or media files (avatars are URLs, not uploads)
• Health or fitness data
• Financial account or payment information
• Device advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV) unless Sentry is enabled
• Browsing history outside of Slipstream

4. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the service: display your picks in the feed, calculate and display your Capper Rating, power rankings and leaderboards, and enable tail/fade functionality.
• Authenticate you: manage account creation, login, and password reset.
• Improve the product: diagnose crashes and bugs (via optional Sentry integration) and understand usage patterns in aggregate.
• Communicate with you: send transactional emails related to your account.

5. Public Content

Slipstream is a public ranking platform. Picks, tail/fade commitments, your username, Capper Rating, and ranking position are visible to all users. Do not post any content through picks that you would not want to be publicly associated with your profile. Your email address is never displayed publicly.

5a. Publicly Available Information (Tracked Sources)

Slipstream also collects and analyzes sports betting picks that are posted publicly on social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter). This information is already publicly available and is collected to provide performance tracking and rankings.

What we collect from public posts

• Social media username/handle
• Pick details (team, market, odds) as posted publicly
• Timestamps of public posts

How we use this information

We use publicly posted picks to calculate Capper Ratings, generate performance statistics, display rankings and leaderboards, and create informational content (such as stat cards shared on social media). This data is used to rank and compare the publicly posted performance of sports bettors.

Data completeness

Slipstream does not claim to capture every pick posted by any individual. Our tracking captures picks posted publicly on supported platforms in standard text formats. Records, rankings, and statistics displayed on Slipstream reflect only the picks we have successfully identified and tracked. They may not represent a complete picture of any individual's betting activity.

Removal requests

If your publicly posted picks are being tracked on Slipstream and you would like your data removed, you may request removal by emailing slipstreambet@outlook.com with the subject line "Tracked Source Removal Request." We will process removal requests within 30 days. Removal will delete your tracked record, picks, and associated statistics from the Platform.

6. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following service providers:

• Supabase: authentication, database, and real-time subscriptions. Receives your email, username, picks, commitments, and follow relationships. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Sentry (when enabled): crash reporting only. Does not receive PII. See Sentry Privacy Policy.
• Expo / EAS: build-time metadata only; no runtime data transmitted. See Expo Privacy Policy.
• Vercel: hosts the marketing website and provides basic analytics. See Vercel Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not use your data for cross-app tracking.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our active databases within 30 days. Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days.

8. Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information on your account.
• Delete your account and associated personal data.
• Export your data in a portable format.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). If you are in the EEA or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to restrict processing and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

You can delete your account directly in the app from Settings. If you cannot access the app or need additional help, email us at slipstreambet@outlook.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Authentication tokens are stored on-device only. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

10. Children

Slipstream is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice.
